Ballet Folklorico Azteca

The Ballet Folklorico Azteca de Fort Worth (BFA) brings to life the spirit and culture of Mexico's rich, colorful past. BFA's repertoire consists of folk dances from varying states, provinces and regions of Mexico including Jalisco, Veracruz, Yucatan, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Linares, Chihuahua, Michoacan, Zacatecas & Notchistlan (to name a few). This diversity enables BFA to present a variety of shows that are colorful, exciting and educational.

BFA is an artistic dance depiction of Mexico presented by citizens of Fort Worth - all students and Company performers are native to Fort Worth and Tarrant County. For over 25 years BFA has presented exquisite entertainment to the City of Fort Worth and its visitors, performing for Presidents, U.S. Congressmen, Mayors and City Councilman, school boards, school districts, institutions, celebrations, cultural and art events, and at private parties.

Started in 1975 by the CAA (Community Action Agency), BFA continues its tradition of "Family, Community and Cooperation." In the process, BFA touches hundreds of young students who dedicate more than 10-15 years to the organization while forming relationships and bonds that last a lifetime. In return, BFA provides all costumes and instruction virtually free of charge.
