Ballet Frontier

The mission of Ballet Frontier is to provide high caliber classical ballet and contemporary dance to young aspiring dancers and audiences in the North Texas area.

Ballet Frontier provides a training ground for young dancers who wish to pursue a career or excel in dance by giving the dancers the opportunity to perform alongside top professionals in the field of dance and participate in auditions, rehearsals, and theatrical performances.

Fund raising efforts will be directly allocated toward future productions and creating performance opportunities for our young artists.

Ballet Frontier opened its first official season with the successful performance of "The Nutcracker" on November 19th, 2007.

Following this success, Ballet Frontier now holds an open audition for dancers every August and performs "The Nutcracker" every November at the Will Rogers Auditorium.

On March 9th, 2008 Ballet Frontier hosted the first Youth Dance Festival at the Ed Landreth auditorium in Fort Worth with the participation of Abilene Ballet Theatre, Ballet Ensemble of Texas and Bloom. The performance is an opportunity for the young talented dancers of North Texas to meet with different groups, take a master class and observe different styles of dancing. The Youth Dance Festival has since become an annual event.

The Spring Performance of Ballet Frontier features its own dancers together with professional dancers in works by Chung-Lin Tseng, the classical repertoire, and guest choreographers.
