Guitar Fort Worth (GFW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to preserving the traditions of classic guitar as the maestros played it. Classic guitar aficionados, educators, aspiring artists, and professional and amateur performers of all ages belong to their society. GFW serves student, adult, and professional members by offering resources and activities relating to classical guitar. In addition, the group functions as a center for the music community by sponsoring events, assisting learners, and supporting educators of North Texas.

Guitar Fort Worth sponsors the Wesleyan Masters Concert Series, bringing international players to Fort Worth; the Community Guitar Series, an aspiring artists recital series to develop performance skills; and community concert venues for all levels of amateur guitarist.

They also reach out to the community with The Healing Guitar network of professional and amateur performers who volunteer their time and talent to bring music to those in need – from rest home to halfway houses.

In addition, GFW fosters education with its Adopt-a School instructional and instrument loan program, scholarship awards, curriculum development plans for middle school to college, a classic guitar resource library, and free concert tickets for deserving students.
