The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the preservation, teaching, and performance of America's unique musical art form, Jazz. The FWJO will feature original pieces written during the Golden Era of Big Band music. The group is led by master drummer Adonis Rose and is comprised of some of the finest musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The music of great composers and arrangers such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Lionel Hampton will create an excitement and appreciation that will help the FWJO to form an impressionable and lasting jazz audience on a local, regional, and international level. A major goal of the FWJO is to nurture an environment that will cultivate community support of an arts-based culture.

The Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra is Tarrant County's first permanent jazz orchestra dedicated to the music of the big bands. The FWJO combines instrumental and vocal music along with other entertaining elements to provide an exciting and unique concert experience. The FWJO is available for concerts, educational seminars, clinics, master classes, and workshops throughout the United States and around the world.
