Fort Worth Classic Guitar Society

Founded in 1994 by Adrien Cuellar, Robert Herrington and Christopher McGuire (the current Artistic Director), the Fort Worth Classic Guitar Society has become one of the most influential and progressive guitar presenting organizations in North America. One thing that sets the Society apart from other guitar organizations is its programming choices, which are geared primarily for general audiences and are more tonal in nature. That's not to say the Society doesn't enlighten and edify their core patrons - but, that those devotees also like to be entertained and dazzled!

Their annual Concert Series is the most visible of the Fort Worth Classic Guitar Society's offerings. However, they also serve thousands of school children every year in the FWISD and surrounding communities through their celebrated Guitar-on-the-Go Outreach Programs.

The 2006-2007 Allegro Guitar Series is the Society's most ambitious to date. Allegro Guitar Concerts are presented in Fort Worth at the Modern Museum of Art and at the Scott Theatre.
