Metropolitan Classical Ballet

Metropolitan Classical Ballet, under the artistic leadership of Paul Mejia and Alexander Vetrov, is regarded as one of the most successful ballet companies in Texas.

Committed to upholding the highest possible dance standards, Metropolitan Classical Ballet brings the art of classical ballet to virtually all socioeconomic levels. Since its inception in 1997, the Company has captured an enthusiastic response from the public and gained substantial critical acclaim as a world-class company. It is valued not only for its original repertoire, but also for the great technique and strong artistic personalities of its dancers.

Each holiday season, performances of "The Nutcracker" are held at Texas Hall in Arlington on the campus of UTA. This production is so popular with critics and the public alike that the company's fame has spread, and they have been invited to perform "The Nutcracker" in San Antonio during 2009.
