Taps n  Tunes

Established in 1985, this local, volunteer non-profit group is dedicated to providing entertainment as its Community Service. Founded by a professional vaudevillian who wished to preserve musical comedy style entertainment through live performance, the group is now directed by Annette Marsh. Annette choreographs most of the tap numbers and also enlists, promotes and presents many talented dancers, singers, and musicians in musical variety type shows featuring music from the 1920's - 1950's.

In July 1989 this group became a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and in 1992 was accepted as an affiliate member of the Arts Council of NorthEast Tarrant County. Presently, it is governed by a board of 14 volunteer Directors.

The performers of this organization are all volunteers, some who have full-time jobs, and they still make time to entertain at Nursing Homes, Senior Citizen Centers, Retirement Centers, Churches and Art Theaters throughout the Metroplex. Annually, they produce a full-length theater show and also support other groups by volunteering such as ushering. They have performed at Scott Theater and Bass Hall in Ft. Worth, and The Palace Theater in Grapevine. As a family oriented group, there is no age restriction to its members. Performers have ranged in age from 5 years old to 80+. All are dedicated to providing "Fun" entertainment for all ages.
