GuidetotheCity makes use of web standards to give our users the best possible viewing experience. Unfortunately Internet Explorer for

Windows suffers from a lack of support for these standards. To give our IE users a viewing experience closer to the one availble to Firefox users GuidetotheCity uses a number of behaviors and programming 'workarounds' to simulate these features.

The downside to this approach is Windows XP may warn you that GuidetotheCity is attempting to use Active X on the site and explain that this could be a security risk, when in fact all we are doing is utilizing Microsoft's filters to display specific content in Internet Explorer, nothing more.
