John J. Turchon III, a true Renaissance Man, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 1, 2009. He was 61 years old. A native of Cleveland, Mr. Turchon devoted his entire adult life to the performing arts. After spending time in the theatre as an actor and director, John found his true niche as an innovator in the world of online ticketing, and was honored with the INTIX (International Ticketing Association) Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

Kids Who Care, a non-profit international musical theatre company based in Fort Worth, announced August 31 that it has selected its new Resident Company. 72 talented youths will train and tour together now through May 2010, presenting the group’s newest original musical, District XI-Believe in Me!, and its popular Texas history show, Deep in the Heart.
