Granbury Opera House presents The Night the Music Died, a recreation of the final concert performed by Buddy Holly, J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson, and Ritchie Valens in early February 1959. Later that night, all three performers would be killed in a plane crash and the course of American musical history would change forever.

Q Cinema will launch its Fall Film series with director Jacqui Morris’ poignant teen romance, Watercolors. This film enjoyed its Southwest Premiere in May during the 11th Annual Q Film Festival, and won the prizes for Best Gay Film and Audience Favorite. It is being brought back by popular demand to the Four Day Weekend Theater on July 29, 2009, at 8:00 PM.
