Legendary Singer Tony Bennett to Appear at Bass Hall on April 24, 2008

On April 24 at 8:00 pm, for one night only, Bass Hall will present An Evening with Tony Bennett. Bennett, who will turn 82 this year, has been entertaining audiences for over half a century and shows no signs of slowing down. His last album, “Duets” in 1996, won three Grammys and is his best-selling recording to date.

Modern Art Museum Announces Purchase of Sculpture by Renowned Artist Roxy Paine

The Modern Art Museum today announced the purchase of a monumental work, Conjoined, by New York-based artist Roxy Paine. The 40-foot-tall by 45-foot-wide stainless-steel sculpture depicts two trees whose branches cantilever in space to connect in midair. The sculpture will be installed later this month.

Every two years, North Texas area artists come together to create one of the best exhibits in Fort Worth: the Fort Worth Community Arts Center Biennial. The 2008 Biennial is an open exhibit and accepts all submitted artwork. All artwork delivered to the FWCAC over a 3-day period is displayed on a first- come, first-served basis.
