Chita Rivera will be the recipient of the First Annual Texas Ballet Theater International Performing Arts Award on Friday, September 29, 2006. The award was created to honor deserving individuals that have made a lasting impact on the performing arts.

This 2-week workshop will focus on building giant sized puppets utilizing low-cost methods easily accessible to the general public. The workshop will be conducted at the new home of Hip Pocket Theatre located at 1950 Silver Creek Road, Fort Worth, TX 76108.

For over 20 years, the Dallas Dance Festival has launched the Fall Dance Season. This year, the festival will take place at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
