Celebrating its 22nd year, Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival is a free four-day event, April 19–22, 2007, showcasing an eclectic blend of art and music in a true outdoor festival setting. The theme of this year’s event is “Art in Bloom”.

On April 14, 2007, Fort Worth’s hippest young professionals will dance the night away at one of the city’s most fun and creative charity events. “Affair of the Arts” draws young, affluent party-goers who want to have fun while supporting a great cause – funding the arts in Fort Worth!

Two years ago Combined Arts Media, Inc. launched a website that provides information about cultural arts events in Tarrant and Travis Counties. Since then, www.guidetothecity.org has had more than three million accesses and nearly 300,000 unique visitors. Now, Combined Arts Media announces the creation and implementation of a unique online ticketing service specifically designed for small to mid-sized arts organizations featured on GuideToTheCity.

The Kimbell Art Museum presents its Spring Break Art Camp for children ages 6 to 12 on Monday, March 12, through Thursday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to noon each day.

Theatre Arlington is incredibly proud to present the world premiere of a new musical entitled “OZ!”, and the author is in the office just down the hall!

Amon Carter Museum Director Ron Tyler has announced the acquisition of a bronze sculpture entitled “The Negro Looks Ahead” by Richmond Barthé (1901–1989), who was among the Harlem Renaissance era’s most successful sculptors. The piece is currently on view on the first floor of the museum.

The Arlington Master Chorale is proud to announce its debut at Carnegie Hall in New York! In addition to joining other choirs from around the country in a performance of Mozart’s “Coronation Mass”, AMC has been selected as one of the evening’s two featured performing groups.

The Texas Radio Theatre Company, in cooperation with the Arlington Museum of Art – Education Department is presenting a short program demonstrating the main elements of audio theatre and how it can stimulate your imagination.

The Bruce Wood Dance Company, a nationally revered performing arts group based in Fort Worth, announced on Friday, November 17, that it would be folding due to an anticipated budget shortfall. Season subscribers may request a prorated refund for the remaining three performances in the troupe’s 2006–2007 season.
