The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth presents a special exhibition of hyper-realistic sculpture by renowned contemporary sculptor Ron Mueck from June 24 through October 21, 2007. Mueck’s “Untitled” (Seated Woman) is one of the most popular pieces in the museum’s permanent collection.

(TNT) since April 1, 1995, has been designated an “AACT Fellow.” This highly distinguished honor is bestowed for life upon those members of AACT “who over a period of years have contributed significantly to the idea and ideal of community theatre.” Nomination and election to this select group is the responsibility of the current Fellow membership.

The Kimbell Art Foundation has announced the resignation of Dr. Timothy Potts as director of the Kimbell Art Museum, effective September 1st, 2007. Senior curator Malcolm Warner has been promoted to deputy director, and will assume the post of acting director of the Museum upon Dr. Potts’ departure.

Jubilee Theatre concludes its 26th Season with RUDY, a musical montage which chronicles some of the many shows that Jubilee’s legendary Founder Rudy Eastman brought to life. Eastman’s close friend Gloria Abbs teams with new Artistic Director Ed Smith and Music Director Joe Rogers to create this celebratory look back at the 25 years that Eastman served as Artistic Director of Jubilee Theatre.

Ballet Concerto will present its 24th annual Summer Dance Concert on an outdoor stage at the Trinity Park Pavilion the evenings of June 21, 22, 23 and 24, 2007. The program will include a new work utilizing both classical ballet and flamenco by internationally known Fort Worth favorite Luis Montero; “Inscape”, a contemporary pas de deux staged by Webster Dean; and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” choreographed by Christine Hay.

Fort Worth Opera is making a major change in its presentation format for 2007: it is condensing its entire season into an annual festival, with all of its operas and concerts being presented over a four week period beginning June 1. The repertoire for the inaugural festival includes a much anticipated world premiere by Thomas Pasatieri.
