Texas Dance Theatre (TDT) Artistic Director Wil McKnight has announced that visual artist Daniel Corona, whose work (mostly acrylic on glass) inspired and provided the backdrop for McKnight’s ballet entitled Fast set to music by Steve Reich, will have his work displayed at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center (FWCAC) in Gallery 5 throughout the month of February.

A gallery reception with food and wine will be open to the public on February 12 beginning at 6 PM at FWCAC. Following the reception, TDT will present its fourth public performance of its season in the FWCAC’s Scott Theatre at 8:00 PM. The performance will feature Gershwin Dances choreographed by McKnight and set to selected music by George Gershwin. The performance will also feature Moldau by guest choreographer Chung-Lin Tseng set to Bedrich Smetana, along with two original works by TDT dancers: Esperanza by Paula Ulery-Reynolds set to Alejandro Muzio, and Trimurti by Jon Shields with original music by Kyle Richards performed live.

Then on April 30 at 8:00 PM, TDT will include a new performance of the ballet Fast featuring additional artwork by Daniel Corona as part of its Season Finale performance at Fort Worth Community Arts Center’s Scott Theatre.
