Theatre Arlington launches their 2010 season with The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, directed by Andy Baldwin.
In a foreboding mansion in Chappaqua, NY, a bizarre array of characters – from a cowardly comedian to a Nazi saboteur – tries to solve the mystery of the “Stage-Door Slasher”. The chaos begins when a creative team recovering from a recent Broadway flop gathers at the wealthy estate of a possible “angel” to pitch a new show. As a fierce snowstorm rages outside, panic, hilarity and pandemonium ensue as one by one members of the group begin to drop dead. Swiveling bookcases, hidden passageways and missing meat cleavers are just a few of the tools used by the murderer … and just wait ‘til you find out whodunnit!
