Texas Dance Theatre, a new Fort Worth based dance troupe, makes its auspicious debut with the Texas Dance Theatre Gala Kick-Off under the leadership of Artistic Director Wil McKnight.
Program
- Three Minutes With Reality, choreographed by Wil McKnight, and set to the music of Astor Piazzolla & Yo Yo Ma.
- Confugium, choreographed by Emily Hunter, Ballet Mistress and member of the dance company. This piece will be a world premiere, set to the music of Vivaldi.
- Trinchera, choreographed by Hollis Hock, a member of the company. This piece is set to the music of Edgar Meyer and Tin Hat Trio.
- Fast, choreographed by Wil McKnight. This world premiere is set to the music of Steve Reich, featuring set design by artist Daniel Corona.
There will be an after performance party in which members of the public may meet and interact with members of the TDT company, Mr. McKnight and Mr. Corona . This special event is Black Tie optional.
