Fort Worth Theatre proudly presents the Shakespearean classic, Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Shawn Gann.

This comedic masterpiece follows two sets of lovers: young Claudio and Hero, and confirmed bachelor Benedick and his worthy adversary, Beatrice. As Don Pedro, Prince of Arragon and his deputies, Benedick and Claudio, return from the wars, young Claudio rediscovers his feelings for Hero, daughter of Leonato, the governor of Messina. Though Claudio’s friend Benedick, who swears he will never marry, scoffs at this love, the prince courts Hero in Claudio’s stead, and wins her hand for him in marriage. But the wedding plans are threatened by the scheming machinations of Don John, bastard brother of Don Pedro, and his henchman, Borachio.

Will Claudio learn the truth in time to save the wedding and, thus, Hero’s life? Will Benedick and Beatrice break through their war of wits and words to find true love beneath? This story of love, matchmaking, mistaken identity and treachery is not to be missed!
