Kids Who Care is assembling an ensemble cast which will include children and adult roles. Actors may appear in multiple scenes as different characters. All roles are non-equity.

An inspiring tale of hope and redemption, A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his magical personal transformation from a bah-humbug miser to a loving and generous man. In this version, adapted by Preston Lane and Jonathan Moscone, the story starts with a child, features an elaborately designed set, and includes a cast full of talented youth and adult actors from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Available Adult roles include: Bob Cratchit; Mrs. Cratchit; and members of the Adult Vocal Ensemble

Available Young Adult Roles (ages 17–30) include: Young Scrooge; Fred; Dick Wilkins; Cynthia; Topper; Lily; the Milkmaid; the Baker; a Charitable Woman; and members of the Youth Vocal Ensemble.

Available roles for children include: the Cratchit Children; and members of the Children’s Vocal Ensemble

Kids, Teens & Young Adult Auditions:

  • 09:30 am – sign-up for afternoon vocal and/or monologue audition
  • 10:00 am – production schedule information meeting, for parents and actors under age 21
  • 10:15 am – group dance audition (optional)
  • 12:00–1:00 pm – break for lunch (must leave theatre)
  • 1:00 pm – vocal/monologue auditions begin (prepare monologue & bring sheet music for audition – one verse and chorus only)
