Circle Theatre is proud to announce its upcoming production of “Dex and Julie Sittin’ in a Tree”, a two-character tour de force written by Bruce Graham, to be directed by Matthew Gray.

The audition process will begin at 7:00pm on Monday, July 28, 2008. Both title roles are being cast, and Equity contracts are available. Rehearsals will begin August 25, and performances will run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from September 18 through August 18.

ROLES:

  • MICHAEL DEXTER is in his late 40’s. Dex is trim; he looks good “for a man his age”. He is a very successful lawyer who has, for many years, enjoyed the company of women.

  • JULIE CHERNITSKY is in her 40’s but her natural buoyancy makes her look younger. Never drop dead beautiful (much to her dismay), she has a wholesomeness that is slyly sexy.

THE PLAY: When a celebrity lawyer travels to his alma mater to receive an award, he stays at the secluded home of a former girlfriend. Memories are rich, and things heat up fast. Filled with surprising twists, this sexy new play is a must for anyone who has ever fantasized about a different outcome with a former love.

Circle Theatre asks that actors read the script before auditioning. Perusal copies are available at the Theatre and at S.T.A.G.E. (for members only).
