In a post apocalyptic world, boxing is the only thing left not corrupted by blood thirsting greed. Gonzo is a young fighter with a lot of promise and his manager promises him “The Championship” if Gonzo can stick it out for one more year. Gonzo agrees. In a world where boxing is filled with unusual types, like WWE, a lot of unusual things happen for the chance to be champ.
In this satirical drama, infused with 70% multi-media, characters are driven by dreams and obsessions, and dreams and obsessions are sacrificed for character. Will Gonzo’s girlfriend Babe go to Hollywood to be the last blonde actress? Will Johnny “The Vampire Spliff” Moody keep his championship title and continue sucking the blood from just about everyone. Will Gonzo’s manager bet against his own prize fighter? These are some of the conflicts and questions in The Boxer and The Blonde. Adam Justin Dietrich directs Rob Bosquez’s script, with live music from The Morning People and a stellar cast.
