The inaugural Biennial was the first exhibition at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, under the title The 39-Hour Show. Over 550 artworks were exhibited by artists of all ages and varied levels of expertise. It was a great success for both the Arts Center and the community. In 2004, the exhibition became a biennial event scheduled to be held in even- numbered years.
All members of the North Texas community are eligible to enter one original artwork per artist regardless of age or experience. All different types of two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks are eligible, as long as they are under 36” in any direction. Even video is acceptable.
Many of the artworks will be for sale. Artists receive 80% of sale of their artwork. Funds from exhibit will be used to support continuing exhibitions at the FWCAC. The prospectus and entry form for the Biennial are available online.
