Texas Girls Choir is now holding auditions for new members throughout the month of January 2008. Girls from ages 8 through 12 may audition for the Texas Girls’ Choir. Candidates must have an adequate voice, a “B” grade average in school, and should come prepared to sing the first verse of “My Country ‘Tis Of Thee”.
Auditions will be held at the Choir’s headquarters in Fort Worth at 4449 Camp Bowie Blvd., in the Cultural District. Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 12:30 PM; Tuesday, January 8th at 6:45 PM; Thursday, January 10th at 6:45 PM; Saturday, January 12th at 12:30 PM; Tuesday, January 15th at 6:45 PM; Thursday, January 17th at 6:45 PM; Saturday, January 19th at 12:30 PM; Tuesday, January 22nd at 6:45 PM, and Thursday, January 24th at 6:45 PM.
The Texas Girls’ Choir Staff will audition the prospective choir members. Girls that are accepted as members of the Texas Girls’ Choir can literally sing their way around the world, for in the Texas Girls’ Choir’s forty-five year history, choir girls have performed in over fifty countries of the world. The Texas Girls’ Choir traveled to Paris and South Africa this past summer. The girls have also been invited to perform at the White House six times.
