Auditions for Angry Housewives will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Theatre Arlington. Possible callbacks will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

Roles are available for four women, late 20s to 50; one young man, age 16 to 20; and three men, ages 30 to 50. The theater is seeking an ethnically diverse cast. Those auditioning should prepare at least 16 bars of an up-tempo song and a ballad. Please bring sheet music in your key for the accompanist, which will be provided. There also will be cold readings from the script.

Angry Housewives is a hilarious contemporary musical about four women bored with their daily routines and the inattentive men in their lives, so they form an alternative rock band and enter a contest as, you guessed it, The Angry Housewives! The show is rated PG-13 for adult language.

Production dates for Angry Housewives will be March 31 through April 30 with shows at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be two Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. April 22 and 29. There will be no Sunday matinee on Easter, April 16.
