Rated: G

Giancarlo Guererro, Conductor
Daniel Mueller-Schott, Cello

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra offers a special concert of classical favorites, highlighted by the Dvorák Cello Concerto.

Brahms said of Dvorák’s Cello Concerto, “Why on earth didn’t I know that one could write a cello concerto like this? If I had only known, I would have written one long ago!” Daniel Mueller-Schott, one of the finest cellists in the world today, promises a brilliant performance of this masterpiece. Book-ending the concerto are two popular works based on literary hero Don Juan.

Program:

  • Mozart – Overture to Don Giovanni, K. 527

  • Dvorák – Cello Concerto in B Minor, B. 191, Op. 10

  • Strauss – Don Juan, Op. 20

  • Liszt – Les préludes
(This work will not be performed during the Casual Chic Friday concert.)

Location: Bass Hall

Admission: $ 9.00 – $78.00
