Schola Cantorum of Texas opens its 46th Anniversary season by returning to the place where it all began – TCU’s Ed Landreth Auditorium. Lest We Forget offers a moving tribute to heroes fallen in battle and commemorates the lives of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the 40th and 45th anniversaries of their deaths.
The concert features performances of Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom, Jeffrey Van’s A Procession Winding Around Me – civil war poetry of Walt Whitman set for choir and guitar – Paul Aitken’s stunning setting of Flanders Fields, Frank Ferko’s The Mother, for soprano soloist and chorus based on poetry of Irish patriot Padraic Pearce, and works by Billings, Brant Adams, Bob Chilcot and others.
A champagne reception and discussion of the evening’s repertoire by Dr. McCoy precedes the concert.

Admission: $20.00 for Adults, with a discount for seniors. Students admitted free.
