Stage West launches its 2008 – 2009 season with The Code of the Woosters, a sequel to the smash hit comedy Right Ho, Jeeves, which the company performed to great acclaim during their 2006 – 2007 season.
Here is another of P. G. Wodehouse’s witty tales of Bertie Wooster and his indispensable valet Jeeves, adapted for the stage by Mark Richard. Bertie’s Aunt Dahlia sends him to an antique shop to “sneer” at a piece of merchandise, and thus lower its price. But the coveted antique falls into the hands of another collector, thus setting the stage for a whimsical bit of comic skullduggery!
