SceneShop marks its 11th year with Lost & Found, a trio of new works in which something seems to be missing … or something unexpectedly turns up. Or both.
In this brisk and entertaining evening of theatre, Neil Patrick Stewart, fresh from receiving his MFA from Harvard’s prestigious American Repertory Theatre, makes a stop in Cowtown to play wily, unsinkable Joe D. Haynes in Steven McGaw’s How I Lost That Job. Fort Worth favorite Debbie Dacus joins the ‘Shop ensemble to perform in You Get What You Pray For, written by TCU grad and actor / screenwriter Christopher Bradley. Finally, SceneShop welcomes writer Stacey Lane Smith to its network of contributors with the monologue The Hundred Dollar Hug, to be performed by Charles Baker (Adam Whittington will perform the piece on Friday, August 10).
Making his debut as an actor with the ‘Shop is Eben Atwater, who will join returning performers Glen Hall, Ross Neuenfeldt, and Bob Francis. Rounding out the cast for this summer’s edition are SceneShop regulars Peggy Bott Kirby, Melodee Halbach and Steven McGaw. The band Corneal Abrasion will perform live music prior to the performance and during intermission.
This show contains mature subject matter/ and anguage, and is not suitable for children.
