Magnolia at the Modern presents the latest film from director Roger Spottiswoode, The Children of Huang Shi.
A young British journalist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) – with the assistance of a courageous Australian nurse (Radha Mitchell) – saves a group of orphaned children during the Japanese occupation of China in 1937. Co-starring Yun-Fat Chow and Michelle Yeoh, this 2008 release is the first co-production between China and Australia.
This film has been rated R for some disturbing and violent content. 114 minutes.
