Pantagleize Theatre Company presents a special holiday event, the Fort Worth International Story-Telling Festival.

In addition to a roster of superb story tellers, the evening will include a food buffet, door prizes, a raffle, and a special appearance by Santa Claus! The master of ceremonies will be DeCee Cornish, named by the Texas Story-Tellers Association as the “Second Biggest Liar in Texas.”

Among the guests scheduled to appear:

  • Elizabeth Ellis is an internationally acclaimed, professional story-teller, known as the “Grandmother of Story-Tellers.”
  • Mel Davenport plays the guitar and will sing the old Irish song “Christmas in Killarney,” and will tell an Irish story “Colin’s Christmas Candle.”
  • Ron Tate, a retired judge from Fort Worth, is a classic story-teller, and will give us “Whistling Dick’s Christmas Stocking,” by O. Henry.
  • Jerry Young will tell a Beatrix Potter story, “Tailor of Gloucester,” using his puppets.
  • Nancy Steed will play a Native American Huron Carol on her flute.
  • Richard Don Simms, “Th’ Cowboy Comedian”, will play his banjo and tell some of his tales.
  • Liz Covington will be telling a story from Scotland.
  • Plus several other great story-tellers!
