Onstage in Bedford presents God’s Favorite, written by Neil Simon.
“God’s Favorite” is a take on the Book of Job, transferring the scene to the Long Island mansion of a tycoon, his wife, a prodigal son, and a pair of goofy twins. One night, a messenger from God enters. Our modern Job won’t renounce God and everything in his life becomes a test of faith – including his family! He gets an itch, then neuralgia, tennis elbow and hemorrhoids. After he has lost everything, God in the form of the messenger responds to him.
This show has been rated PG.
