Thoroughly Modern Millie

Friday October 26, 2007 - Saturday November 03, 2007
Rated: G

Texas Boys Choir and the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts proudly present the song and dance spectacular, Thoroughly Modern Millie.

This Tony Award-winning musical is based on the 1967 Julie Andrews film of the same name. It’s the story of a Kansas farm girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to the Big Apple in 1922 to be a “modern” flapper. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. However, Millie’s New York experience turns out to have lots of hilarious twists of fate and fortune. The sparkling songs include: “Jimmy”; “Forget About the Boy”; “Long as I’m Here With You”; “Gimme Gimme”; and the title song, “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”

Location: Walsh Fine Arts Center
3901 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109

Admission:
$12.00 – Adults
