Ballet Concerto presents a gift for the young (and the young at heart!), Ballet for Youth: A Holiday Special. There will be two performances held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at Will Rogers Auditorium. The first, to be held at 10:00 am, is a special field trip for schools in the Fort Worth Independent School District and the surrounding areas. The second, which will take place at 7:00 pm, features an expanded program and is open to the general public.

The morning program will consist of The Christmas Grump, (a ballet based on Dr. Suess’ beloved tale, How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Swingin’ into the Holidays, and the Hannukah Flamenco. This performance will last approximately one hour and 20 minutes.

The evening program will include the same ballets that were performed during the morning performance, plus O Holy Night, a re-enactment of the Nativity through dance. O Holy Night, with staging by Dennis Parrish, (Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary), will be performed with choreography by Margo Dean. The evening program will last approximately two hours.
