Summer Dance Concert

Thursday June 21, 2007 - Sunday June 24, 2007
Rated: PG

Ballet Concerto proudly presents its 24th annual Summer Dance Concert.

Internationally known Fort Worth favorite Luis Montero will return to stage a new work that utilizes both classical ballet and flamenco. Another highlight of the program will be Inscape, a contemporary pas de deux by Orlando Ballet Artistic Director Bruce Marks, staged by Ballet Concerto repetiteur Webster Dean. Also on the program will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream with original choreography by Mercyhurst College Professor of Dance Christine Hay.

The Summer Dance Concert continues Ballet Concerto’s tradition of reaching an ever increasing and diverse audience. The concerts are presented to audiences of all ages and backgrounds and are held in a barrier-free environment. They are held outdoors where people may gather to bring a picnic or enjoy the concessions that Ballet Concerto provides. The Summer Dance Concert epitomizes Ballet Concerto’s efforts to bring ballet and other forms of dance to families, and to promote dance awareness in Fort Worth and the North Texas area.
