The Music Man

Friday May 30, 2008 - Saturday July 12, 2008
Rated: G

Artisan Center Theater presents Meredith Willson’s Tony Award-winning musical smash, The Music Man, based on a story by Willson and Franklin Lacey.

In River City, Iowa, circa 1912, newly arrived con man Harold Hill promises to form a children’s marching band in order to pre-sell a non-existent supply of musical instruments and band uniforms. But somewhere along the way, Hill falls in love with the town librarian and turns over a new leaf. Can he deliver on his false promises? When those “Seventy-Six Trombones” finally come marching in, leading the big parade, audience members of all ages will be cheering for one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
