MBS Productions specializes in "New Theatre" ... including new plays, new musicals, new translations, and new adaptations of classic works! In essence, each of their productions is a World Premiere. They are the only theatre company in North Texas devoted exclusively to performing works previously unseen on any stage, and thus hold a special appeal for audiences who are adventurous, sophisticated, and eager to experience something new.

The company was formed in 2004 by Mark-Brian Sonna when he produced the show "Theatre of Death" during the Halloween season. Presented at Teatro Dallas, the show consisted of six short plays dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, all dealing with Death. Two of the plays were world premieres; three were new translations; and one was an adaptation of an existing piece. This initial production set the tone for what was to come. In each successive season, the company has produced a greater number of plays, and has extended the run of each show to accommodate growing audience demand. Critical response to their productions has been uniformly enthusiastic; and in fact, during their first two full seasons, every single show the company staged was nominated for a prestigious Column Award.
