The Charles W. Eisemann Center is actually a sophisticated arts complex that embraces a wide variety of the cultural and performing arts in a collection of different venues.
The Margaret & Al Hill Performance Hall represents the Center at its most formal. With over 1550 seats, it is large in capacity, yet intimate, warm, and inviting by design. Its interior architectural treatment, with natural wood-clad walls sculpted according to acoustical requirements, reflects the restrained and elegant character envisioned for this performance space. It is an exceptional environment for symphonic music, dance, musical theatre, opera, and a wide range of concerts and other performing arts attractions.
The R. Frank & Geraldine Leftwich Grand Foyer is a wonderful open and inviting space that features a 42 ft. high ceiling with a curtain wall of glass from floor to ceiling at the south and southwest corner of the lobby. This massive wall of glass offers a commanding view of the public plaza, fountain, and DART light rail station.
The Forrest & Virginia Green Mezzanine-Gallery on the west wall serves as a public gallery for changing art exhibits throughout the year. Patrons enjoy the view overlooking the Leftwich Grand Foyer and TXU Lobby areas.
The Countrywide Theatre is less formal than the Performance Hall, and more flexible in character, featuring a more contemporary design. This exciting space is more versatile as the stage may be extended out over the lower floor seating area of the audience chamber. Whether configured for traditional or thrust-stage performances, it is an ideal setting for theatre, dance, recitals, and cabaret style programs.
The Countrywide Hall is a 3,150 square foot multi-use space that features a barrel vault ceiling, cove lighting, wood floor, and state-of-the-art AV production equipment. The most flexible of the building performance spaces, the room easily accommodates meetings, seminars, lectures, receptions, dinners, and small ensemble recitals.
