Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre

Flower Mound's Performing Arts Theatre is a nonprofit, professional theatre dedicated to promoting the performing arts in North Texas, with an emphasis in the Town of Flower Mound. The theatre produces a full season of plays and musicals annually, and also maintains an outstanding youth educational program.

Founded in January 1993 as Expressions Repertory Theatre, the organization gained non-profit status in 1996. In January of 2001, the group adopted its new official name, Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre (FMPAT) in representation of its community and acknowledgement of its largest sponsor, The Town of Flower Mound.

The Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre signed an SPT contract with Actors' Equity Association (The Union of Professional Actors & Stage Managers) in February of 2004, making it the only professional theatre in the Lake Cities area. FMPAT continues to strive to constantly raise the bar on each production to grow and bring live theatre to North Texas. FMPAT achieved full Equity House status in January of 2005 making the theatre able to grant Equity Membership Candidacy points to Non Equity Actors.

FMPAT is excited about the next chapter in its history, and is pleased to have completed their move to new facilities in Flower Mound's Parker Square in June of 2005.
