Teatro Dallas will conduct its Annual Membership Drive by throwing a party for Edgar Allan Poe on December 5, 2009, at 8:00 PM. Attendees will be treated to stage adaptations of 3 of Poe’s most macabre works, as well as Mr. Poe’s favorite red wine and hors d’ouveres. At the request of the playwright’s widow, Martha Nelly Wasserman, Rover Dramawerks will record its production of Premiere! for marketing and possible broadcast purposes. The comedy, set in the mileu of the theatre, was named Best Original Play of 2009 at the AriZoni Awards in September, and will run at Rover through November 21.
