Rover Dramawerks proudly presents the eleventh annual One Day Only festival, featuring seven short plays, concept to curtain in just 24 hours.
Here’s how it works. Seven writers, seven directors and forty-plus actors are all chosen strictly at random. The participants meet for the first time Friday night; topics for scripts are chosen; seven (7) ten-minute scripts are written overnight and productions are mounted throughout the following day. This white-knuckle thrill ride of creativity and teamwork results in seven world premiers in just one day.

Scripts developed in these festivals have been picked up by local and regional companies, have won awards in other festivals and have even resulted in publishing deals! And you never know where you’ll see these actors next. Some look familiar and some will soon! One of our discoveries – a first time actor – from years back just appeared on Prison Break this month.
