Accordingly, the theatre company in the Quadrangle in Dallas is offering tickets to any performance of its current production, Woody Guthrie’s American Song, for only $.05 to those who are currently unemployed due to the recent economic crisis. Lonnie Weeks, age 18, has won the Silver Medal in the Junior Division for his performances at the prestigious International Ballet Competition which was held in Helsinki, Finland. Mr. Weeks is a member of the Texas Ballet Theater’s permanent company.

Metropolitan Winds will close its 2008–2009 season with Young, Anxious, Blazing Producers, a tribute to popular film music with special emphasis on the works of composers John Morris and Mel Brooks, at 7:30 PM on June 28, 2009 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Members of the Turtle Creek Chorale will be among the special guests.

Richardson Theatre Centre is moving into a new location at 2701 II Creeks Plaza (directly across the parking lot from their former home), and has chosen the classic musical “Oliver!” as their maiden production in their new space. The show will run Friday, June 19 through Sunday, July 12.
