Cat on a  Hot Tin Roof

Friday May 23, 2008 - Sunday June 08, 2008
Rated: R

Runway Theatre presents the original, uncut and unedited version of Tennessee Williams’ celebrated play, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

In an old Southern plantation house, it’s Big Daddy’s 65th birthday. The mood is somber, despite the festivities, because greed and sins of the past loom large amongst the family. Desperate, clawing hopes for the future spar with one another as the knowledge that Big Daddy is dying slowly emerges. Maggie, Big Daddy’s daughter-in-law, has her own interests at heart in wanting to become pregnant, but she also wants to make amends to Brick, her husband, for an error in judgment that nearly cost her her marriage. By evening’s end, the family will be rocked by a series of volatile emotional confrontations. Which relationships will survive under the harsh light of truth?

This drama is rated R for adult themes and sexual situations.
