Rover Dramawerks presents the riotous comedy which deftly mixes fact and fantasy – Shakespeare in Hollywood, written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Carol M. Rice.
It’s 1934, and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the set of the lavish Max Reinhardt film, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, being filmed on the Warner Brothers lot in Hollywood. Oberon finds love with Olivia de Havilland, the leading lady, while Puck manages to misplace the famous feisty flower, wreaking havoc on the set! Everyone from heartthrob Dick Powell to the famous censor Will Hays to iconic gossip columnist Louella Parsons is attacked by the flower, and only Oberon can put things to rights!
