Echo Theatre presents a performance reading of Waiting to Be Invited by S.M. Shephard-Massat.

In 1961 Atlanta, four women decide to stage a sit-in at a “Whites Only” lunch counter. A funny and moving look at the bravery of ordinary American women, this play is presented as part of Echo Theatre’s celebration of the Triple Goddess concept pertaining to the the three stages of a woman’s life – Maiden, Mother, and Crone.

A brief discussion with the director and cast will follow the reading.
